According to World Health Organization report half to three quarters of adults ages 18 to 65 years in the world have had headache, and individuals, 30% or more have reported migraine. Headache on fifteen or more days every month affects 1.7% of the world’s adult population.

When you have a headache, you feel the faint pain in your forehead, ear or head and back, which makes the neck or head muscles tighten. In severe cases, the headache is more like being hit with a hammer. Headaches can be divided into three categories:

1.      General headaches,
2.      Migraine headaches, and
3.      Neurological headaches.

Headache Symptoms



Headaches are the most common but complex. They can be caused by various diseases, muscle tension, lack of sleep, mental stress and stress, boredom and even work. They can also be headaches caused by side effects of drugs.

What Causes a Headache?

  • If you only maintain a headache caused by a few hours to a day, many are caused by a cold; it may also be high blood pressure.
  • Headache and elevated body temperature may be infected with fever.
  • If the head hurts when it leans forward, and the light makes the eyes feel uncomfortable, it may be suffering from meningitis.
  • If the headache persists for a few days to a few weeks, it may be a subdural hematoma of the brain.
  • If the headache persists for a few months and there is an increase, it is likely to be a brain tumor.
  • Such as sudden head pain, as well as vomiting symptoms, may be cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, bleeding under the spider web, glaucoma.
  • Intermittent, irregular headaches, sometimes only once a year, there will be multiple headaches, severe headaches, vomiting or nausea, flash points, tinnitus , photo phobia, may be migraine.
  • The forehead, cheekbones and nose are painful, but when you pour or touch your face, it will be more painful. It may be a headache of sinusitis.
  • Headaches that have been bumped or injured in the head may be brain turbulence, and headaches may be caused by thirst, fear of light, pain when the head tilts forward or cerebral hemorrhage.
  • If the eyeball is painful and the vision is blurred, it may be caused by an increase in intraocular pressure.
  • If you have a headache when you wake up every day, it may be caused by excessive stress or high blood pressure. If you are vomiting, you will have a chance to have a brain tumor.
  • If the headache is unilateral, it may be a cluster headache or a migraine headache.
Headache Remedies
  • In a dark and quiet environment, relax your nerves, take a deep breath, close your eyes, and gently massage your temples to massage your head. You can also take painkillers such as aspirin.
  • Take a hot bath or apply a cold towel.
  • If the head has been traumatized during a headache, or if vomiting, unconsciousness, blurred vision, vertigo, and unclear speech, it should be immediately sent to hospital for treatment.
  • The headache lasts for 2 to 3 days, the pain is more frequent and intense, or accompanied by fever, lethargy, nausea, vomiting and stiff neck. See a doctor immediately.
